Amanda completed undergraduate studies at George Mason University, where she graduated at the top of her class. She has 7 years’ experience working in the surgical unit at Reston Hospital Center and spent 2 years coordinating care for residents of a local continuing care retirement community.

Amanda became licensed as a family nurse practitioner in 2021 after completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at Radford University. The thematic framework for her doctoral project was “shared decision making” and this continues to inspire her care. She is passionate about incorporating patient’s values, goals, and health care philosophies into the decision-making process, while also empowering patients with up to date and sound evidence.

Outside of the clinic setting she stays busy caring for her 3 children. She enjoys spending time with her husband, listening to podcasts and medical debates, and squeezing in time with any of her 5 siblings when she gets the chance!
